Devastated Central Homs

DEVASTATED HOMS: Airstrikes resumed on the historic districts of central Homs Monday morning as pro-regime Dunya Television claimed “the elimination of a number of terrorists and destruction of their weapons and ammunition in the Khaldiya neighborhood.”

This video shows the Khaldiya neighborhood in the center of Homs after a weekend of bombardment by Assad forces.

“The civilians’ homes are destroyed, all the people left their homes and it now looks like a ghost town,” said citizen journalist Abdelhamid Sabek. who reported airstrikes on the district from MIG and Sukhoi jets.

Medical workers told the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that 19 government troops were killed during weekend clashes in Khaldiya.
