REBELS PUSH BACK: Clashes intensified Sunday in eastern Aleppo near the Brigade 80 military base as the Free Syrian Army, Nusra Front, and ISIS battled government forces.

Syrian Army, National Defense Forces and Hezbollah fighters advanced to the Brigade 80 base on Friday. Brigade 80 is tasked with holding Aleppo International Airport and al-Nairib Airbase.

The pro-rebel Aleppo Media Center reported over one hundred government troops killed while state news agency SANA claimed heavy losses for “large numbers of terrorists” in battles around the Old City and near the Kiwires airbase.

Haleb News Network reports ISIS fighters now hold  “75% control over the al-Hararia Station between Tal Aran and the Airport on Khanasir road” as Aleppo activists posted updates on social media sites describing heavy shelling on the villages of Tel Aren and Tel Hasil just up the road from Safira, a strategic town on the southeastern outskirts of the city that fell to regime forces last week.

As battles consume densely populated residential neighborhoods opposition Sham News Network reports the largest displacement of civilians in the Aleppo area this year.
