Lidija Sabados

Lidija joined Syria Direct in May 2019 and is the organization’s Executive Director. She is a seasoned media development professional, with over ten years of experience in non-governmental organizations and intergovernmental agencies, including the International Freedom of Expression Exchange (IFEX), UNRWA, and UNESCO. She has also worked as a freelance writer, editor and media development and communications consultant. Lidija holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Modern Languages from the University of Ottawa, and a Master’s degree in Global Public Policy from the Munk School of Global Affairs at the University of Toronto.
