Noura Hourani
Noura Hourani worked as Syria Direct’s Senior Editor through August 2019. Through Noura’s work in leading Syria Direct’s newsroom, along with her coverage of human rights violations and women’s issues in Syria, she was selected as the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers’ (WAN-IFRA) Middle East and North Africa laureate in 2018. Noura has also participated in numerous workshops and trainings in Jordan focused on combating hate speech and radicalism in the media, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in English literature.
