Damascus: Mid-day news update 6-5-2013

Damascus:

* Mortar and artillery bombardment on Tishreen neighborhood results in injuries among civilians and property damages.

* Mortar bombardment on al-Qaboon district.

* Air Force carries out an airstrike on the district of Jobar, near the new highway.

Outer Damascus:

* Renewed mortar and artillery bombardment from Brigade 58 on Sahya mountains and on residential buildings in the town of al-Ziabieh.

* Fierce clashes occur at the Southern Highway near al-Qaboon. Sounds of huge explosions are heard in Damascus and Outer Damascus due to the artillery bombardment and airstrikes on the Southern Highway near Zamalka.

* The Air Force bombs the areas near THAMICO building in Melayha area.

* Fierce clashes between the FSA and the government army in Moadamiya Tuesday night.
