محرر/ة صحفي/ـة، ، مقيم/ـة في سوريا أو دول الجوار، مسؤول/ـة عن تحرير التقارير الصحفية، التي ينتجها فريق “سوريا على طول”، بما يتناسب مع الخط التحريري الخاص بالمنظمة، إضافة إلى كتابة تقارير صحفية، على أن يُوزّع الجهد على التحرير بواقع 50% والكتابة 50.

Trainings
MIRAS Training Program for journalists in northeast Syria: This project aims to expand the media and advocacy capacity of Syrian journalists to undertake fact-gathering and counter disinformation surrounding the Syrian conflict. Entry-level journalists (0-3 years of experience) are invited to attend a week-long journalism course followed by a month-long practical training. Through close mentoring, journalists will draft in-depth reports and the best publications will published on Syria Direct’s website and social media channels. The top 10 journalists will be invited to draft a second publication on a theme of their interest in partnership with a local CSO to strengthen their fact-gathering skills, as well as the advocacy reach of CSOs. Applicants are invited to apply here by Thursday, February 16.

Training Services: Since 2013, Syria Direct has trained aspiring Syrian and international journalists of all backgrounds and levels of experience. Syria Direct offers a variety of journalism training services with a particular focus on remote conflict reporting and analysis. Syria Direct has become an expert in remote conflict reporting, having covered the Syrian conflict from Jordan and Lebanon since 2011 and creating and sustaining a strong network of on-the-ground sources. Our training program, initially created to promote freedom of expression and media freedom in Syria, can be applied to other regional conflict zones such.
Syria Direct’s training program can be tailor-made to fit your organization’s needs. Both in-person and online offerings range from the basics of professional journalism to advanced investigative reporting, as well as training on how to accurately and professionally report on contentious and controversial issues, gender-sensitive reporting, fact-checking and dealing with sources.
