In this video the spokesman of Shuhadaa al-Yarmouk brigade, part of the FSA, claims responsibility for detaining UN observers in Golan. “We demand Assad’s forces withdrawal and they will be released,” he says, addressing the United Nations the American government. “If they [govt. troops] don’t withdraw within 24 hours, these [the UN peacekeepers] will be treated as prisoners.”  The village of Jamlah in Daraa province is close to the demilitarized zone between Syria and Israel. SAS News spoke with the brigade Wednesday night and they insist they are “protecting” the UN personnel from govt. bombardment.
