February 21, 2013: Destruction from Grad missiles fired into Yarmouk camp in Damascus. Though Yarmouk was created for Palestinian refugees, more than 500,000 people, only half of which are Palestinian live in Yarmouk and the surrounding areas. “Firing Grad missiles on areas crowded with people is an attempt to force them to turn against the FSA and drive the rebels from the camp,” said Ali Abol Nour, 28, a camp resident. Syria’s semi-official noted the incident by reporting only: “Two shells were fired near Palestine Circle in Yarmouk camp, causing injuries.”
