Friday’s protests in Syria took place under the rubric “Friday for a Dignified Raqqa” [province, in Syria’s east]. A-Raqqa province, located east of Aleppo province, was the site this week of clashes between rebels and the Syrian army. One of the protests took place in Kafr Nabl, a town in the FSA-controlled section of Aleppo province. Kafr Nabl is known among Syrians for its witty, wry and intense political commentary, often portrayed in the form of hand-drawn posters. Below, a few samples:
