DIRECT HIT: An airstrike hits the town of Melayha in Outer Damascus on Friday morning, in what the citizen journalist filming claims is the third of the day. Shahed News reported six airstrikes on Melayha Thursday. The Eastern Ghouta town is 10-minute-drive from the center of the capital. It’s the home of an army base and neighbors the city of Jaramana. Fierce clashes between the FSA and regime forces have taken place recently in the northern side of the town.

The Syrian army is making advances in the area to surround the rebels in Eastern Ghouta, a strategic area that links Damascus with the north. Video courtesy of Media Offices Union.
