SATURDAY IN SARAQEB: Regime helicopters pounded Saraqeb with tank shells, phosphoric and cluster bombs hitting the town just south of Idlib.

“Barrel, cluster attack,” calls out the citizen journalist who posted this video as ominous black clouds come into view.

According to Saraqib LCC the city was targeted with 17 explosive barrels with three exploding before ground impact. Additionally the Local Coordination Council reports three families are feared dead under the rubble of their homes and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights counted 6 civilians killed in Saturday’s attack.

“Barrels were dropped from a military helicopter and we documented choking cases as a result of poison gases from these barrels,” said Mohammad Ibrahim, 19 years old media activist from nearby Mu’arret Al Noaman.

“The town was hit because of the existence of FSA bases, a field hospital, and a rebel police station to judge criminals, not to forget the large number of displaced people from Mu‘rret al-Nuaman and neighboring areas,” Ibrahim added.Video courtesy of Sarakeb2011.
